Destination Wedding Photography
Had the honour of being flown out to do the destination wedding photography of Matt and Christine on the beautiful island of Capri Italy. Instead of going for the more traditional church wedding they decided on a destination wedding so flew over to Italy and invite their closest friends for a celebration and have the wedding ceremony and honeymoon all in one.
I was to fly out to join the wedding party on the day and had an early start ahead with a plane trains and boat journey. Armed with cameras and their pre wedding signing mount I was all set. The couple were due to be married at 6 30 pm and I arrived at 4pm with plenty of time to photograph the groom, best man and ushers outside the Chapel and the surrounding ares of Capri before the arrival of the bride. The bride was getting ready at the stunning hotel called the the Capr Palace which was a short walk away from the wedding chapel so i was able to get some great shots of the bride to be and the father on their way to the Capri Italy wedding ceremony.
As you can see from the images I had full permission to photograph the wedding ceremony and got some great relaxed and informal wedding photography.
With ceremony over it was then a great opportunity to photograph the newlyweds around the beautiful island of Capri not much of a hardship from a wedding photographers point of view. The Capri Palace was the setting for the wedding breakfast and speeches and the stunning rooftop setting was first for drinks. I couldn’t resist getting the bride and groom out for one more image as the sunset over the hotel. Still one of my favourite wedding photos.
Photographing Matt and Christines wedding was a pleasure and not just because it was in such a luxurious setting they really were a great couple. With regards to Capri i was on a flight home at 9 the next morning so must really try and go back to take it all in…. a holiday beckons …
