Wedding Photography Cranage Hall
The wedding of Sophie and Dave was to take place at Cranage Hall in Cheshire. Both the bride and groom had rooms at the hotel. Opposite sides of course as the whole wedding day from start to finish was to take place at the hall.
I arrived early as usual so I could get a feel for the venue and take photographs of the details.As well as being there on time for the all important shots of the bride getting ready. The groom as well of course didn’t want to leave Dave out.
Cranage Hall is the perfect wedding venue for photographers, beautiful inside and out. This was especially important on this day as initially the wedding ceremony was due to be held outside. However, good old England an hour before the wedding ceremony the heavens opened and everything was rearranged for inside the hotel.
This I’m happy to say didn’t phase the bride and groom. It certainly didn’t effect their happiness as you can see in the images. There were a few tears but all happy ones.
The Wedding Ceremony
Thankfully the rain had stopped during the wedding ceremony and the reception was held outside. This always gives the wedding photographer ample opportunity for candid fun shots. Especially with the younger part of the wedding party. Some of my favourite shots of the day are of the bridesmaids and pageboys.
I stole Sophie and David away for a short time for a few relaxed images together but most of the images from the day were as it happened. This is how I always like to do my wedding photography as it allows the bride and groom to get on enjoying their wedding day. The best images are always when you don’t know you’re having you’re picture taken …. trust me 😉
