The advantage of being a Wedding Photographer in Macclesfield Cheshire is all of the great wedding venues that surround it, one of them being Shrigley Hall in Pott Shrigley. This is where Katherine and Martin had booked there wedding breakfast, after having the ceremony at St Gregory’s Church Cheshire.

The day started with the bride getting ready in the traditional way at her parents home and I was allowed (within reason) to take natural images of the getting ready process, which is always a great opportunity for those candid reportage style photography moments.

The house was very close to the church so I had time to make a dash to catch the groom anxiously awaiting the arrival of the bride with of course a big smile on his face and not looking nervous in the slightest.

Luckily, as it isn’t always the case, I was allowed to be positioned in the church to take pictures of the wedding ceremony which adds so much to the finished Wedding album for two reasons, the first being the oppurtunity to get really natural images of the bride and groom together as they exchange vows and secondly there are no breaks in the photography allowing the album to flow, which I feel is an important part to the reportage , natural style wedding photography that I do.

After the ceremony some of the group shots the couple had asked me to do were taken on the church grounds as the bride’s brother had to leave for Army duties. Then with the traditional confetti shot done, which is still a favourite of mine, it was off to Shrigley Hall to complete the rest of the Wedding party group shots and then steal the bride and groom for a short time to take some more informal shots of the two of them. The time I spend with the group shots and the couple is always kept to a minimum as I like to remain in the background for the most part and allow everyone to enjoy the day,that way the wedding photography captures the ‘real’ wedding which makes for the perfect wedding album..

The nice thing about being a wedding photographer (and there are many…) is the great people you meet and becoming an important part of their special day, and this was exactly the case with Laura and Steve. They chose the Stapleford Park Country House Hotel which was just an amazing wedding venue, a country estate set in over 500 acres of stunning landscaped grounds, just outside the village of Melton, Leicestershire. Laura stayed at Stapleford the night before and with the spacious and well lit suites I got some great shots of the bride getting ready with the bridesmaids, capturing the moments with my reportage photography style, the fact that there were two little ones made my job easier as they were a joy to photograph (couldn’t go wrong really)..

Steve then arrived in the red ferrari that Laura had arranged for him as a surprise, with a broad grin ( who wouldn”t have), unfortunately there wasn’t time for me to have a quick go as there were photographs to be taken… maybe another time then…

The civil wedding ceremony was held at Stapleford and I managed to get some great shots of the couple as they exchanged there vows , it’s always a good idea to check and ask ‘nicely’ if the photographer can photograph the exchanging of the vows as they can make for fantastic spontaneous images and complete the story of your wedding album.

After the ceremony the majority of the day was spent outside in the beautiful grounds as the couple had a glorious summer day , they had a string quartet outside and drinks and I had the freedom to click away and let Laura and Steve enjoy the day, which really came out in the final images.

Really privileged to have been chosen as Emma and Leon’s wedding photographer. Derbyshire was the location, and the venue, the spectacular Ringwood Hall Hotel. An exceptional Grade 11 listed Manor House, close to the historic market town of Chesterfield, near the Peak District National Park. Emma and Leon couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful wedding venue. Derbyshire’s Ringwood Hall is set in acres and acres of stunning grounds, the ideal backdrop for capturing lovely, natural shots.

I’ve always believed that the greatest wedding photography is achieved in capturing those intimate, incidental moments. And I managed to get exactly that, as Emma’s Dad ‘beamed’ as she walked down the stairs, looking absolutely amazing. Blending into the background, I was able to catch all those emotional moments as they happened. The results speak for themselves. Reportage wedding photography is my specialism.

Managed to get some great shots of Emma, her Mum, and bridesmaids getting ready. And captured the perfect moment – proud Mum and Dad, as they get a glimpse of the bride as she’s just finished getting ready. Looking back it’s incredible just how similar all of Emma’s family smiles were!! Made all the brighter with it being a lovely sunny day. A Derbyshire wedding photographer’s dream. A crisp, clear day, the perfect couple, an exquisite wedding venue, and a fun wedding party. What more could I ask for?

Today was everything a Cheshire wedding photographer could hope for. Leigh and Suzanne were a great couple to photograph, as both were big personalities. This allowed me to capture some impressive wedding photography. Cheshire was the start and end point for the day. Photographing Suzanne getting ready at home, produced some great images – everyone was excited, getting ready for Suzanne’s big day. I was able to capture some amazing wedding shots of the girls preparing for the wedding day. It was then on to Poynton Church, to photograph Leigh, the bestman and ushers..

Following a beautiful Cheshire wedding ceremony, I took some wonderful wedding shots of the couple outside the church. It was then on to the Deanwater Hotel (www.thedeanwaterhotel.co.uk). Surrounded by rich, Cheshire countryside, and lying beside the River Dean, The Deanwater Hotel dates back to the 16th century, and was originally a hunting lodge. Set within lovely woodlands, and landscaped gardens, its unique location enabled me to get some wonderful Cheshire wedding photography shots. The perfect peaceful country retreat. The perfect Cheshire wedding venue.

Made complete by great weather, gorgeous grounds and a fabulous wedding party – who left me to get on with capturing the mood of the day without getting in the way… ; ) That’s me, not them!

Great fun shooting the Wedding Photography for Adam and Niki they were a great couple and lived where I grew up in Warrington Cheshire (perhaps that’s why I got on with them so well..) . Both Adam and Niki got ready in Fearnhead Warrington and thats where i started shooting fortunately Niki was getting ready at her parents which was just down the road so just had to keep up my fitness running back and to.

It was then off to the lovely setting of Rookery Hall Nantwich Cheshire where the wedding ceremony was taking place, the wedding planner at the Hotel was fantastic and extremely helpful , and the registrar had no problem with me taking pictures through the ceremony which gave Adam and Niki some great shots..

The rest of the day ran smoothly and pictures were done as the wedding carried on as my preferred style is to shoot as it’s happening so I don’t get in the way.

Group photography shots done, it was on to the wedding breakfast where they very kindly invited me to sit with them ( although I didn’t sit very long.. shots to be had you know).

As said at the start great day and it was a real pleasure to be the Wedding Photographer for Adam and Niki’s wedding at Rookery Hall, Cheshire.

From the bride getting ready at the fabulous Shrigley Hall to the speeches really enjoyed doing the wedding photography of Matt and Debbie. They were married in their local church in Bollington where I met up with Matt and his many ushers to photograph the anticipation of Debbie’s arrival. I don’t think i’ll photograph a bride that smiled as much as Debbie.

After the wedding ceremony it was back to Shrigley Hall where they were well looked after by the great staff there and i had time to take some great images as they got on with their day…

Great wedding at Arley Hall Northwich Cheshire with Martin and Nicole, a really genuinely happy couple so made my job of doing their wedding photography a ‘little’ easier. Nicole spent the night at Hall so I was there bright and early to capture the events leading up to the civil wedding ceremony, a very nervous but excited groom arrived a little later. All the guests were great fun and the staff at Arley were very helpful in organising and allowing me the freedom to get my reportage style wedding photography. I would certainly recommend Arley Hall Cheshire as a perfect wedding venue…

Being the chosen Wedding Photographer for Will and Amber’s day at the beautiful setting of East Lodge Country House Hotel Matlock Derbyshire made the job of capturing the images they wanted that little bit easier, as everywhere you looked was a great ‘photo opportunity’.
The advantage of having a studio in Macclesfield is that i am right in the centre of some great counties like Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Leicestershire so my Wedding Photography isn’t just confined to Cheshire.
The bride got ready for the day at the venue before having a church ceremony , as did the groom, so the trick was to get the shots without the two bumping into each other, bad luck and all that you know… The church in Matlock Derbyshire allowed me to take images of the ceremony which for the couple is a great contribution to the wedding album as it maintains the flow of the album, especially the reportage style that I do. After the church it was back to the East Lodge Country House Hotel where drinks were served outside as surprise surprise the english weather behaved itself on the day, as you can see many informal shots were taken, along with requested group shots which i like to take ‘in keeping’ with the rest of the style of the photography as this was what Will and Amber requested and from the images this was more than achieved, with the cooperation of the bride and groom and guests being so easy going ofcourse……

Really enjoyed being the chosen wedding photographer for the wedding of Lucy at the beautiful village of Christleton near Chester Cheshire, the stunning Rowton Hall was the perfect Wedding venue for a great day, from the images you can see they enjoyed their day….

Great opportunity for beautiful wedding photography of David and Rachels’ wedding at the Mere Golf and Country Club Cheshire starting at Mobberley church fior the wedding ceremony and moving on to Mere golf and country club Cheshire for the wedding breakfast, so much going on never stopped photographing but great fun, as were all involved….
