Wedding Photography Cheshire Heaton House Farm

Now most brides would be forgiven for being a little nervous on their wedding day and rightly so , but Charlotte had, the previous night been in hospital undergoing an operation on a broken thumb, was she nervous …. no …. I guess the whole experience just made her think ‘well not much else can go wrong’ , and thankfully it didn’t.

I arrived at Charlottes house to be greeted by the mayhem (good mayhem) of everyone rushing around getting ready for the day and I was left to photograph the proceedings capturing mages of the wedding make up being done to the details of the wedding and bridesmaids dresses.

With the morning preparations fully underway and with the photography of the bride getting ready all done I then set off to one of my favourite churches Gawsworth in Cheshire, not just because of the beautiful setting but also because of the ‘Bishop’ I find he really adds to the day with his larger than life character, and a big plus is he let’s me take as many images of the wedding ceremony as I like (…no moving around from me though as i don’t want to distract from the important stuff…). As I have mentioned in previous blogs photographing the bride and groom during the vows makes for so many lasting memories and emotions a true reflection of the reportage wedding photography style.

The bride Charlotte arrived at Gawsworth Church in a horse and carriage and not to be out done the groom Andrew had arrived earlier in a Ferrari hired for the day as a wedding gift from Charlotte, always good to get off to a good start I would say. Now as I said earlier Gawsworth is one of my favourite settings and after the wedding ceremony there was plenty of time for me to capture some great images of as you can see a very happy bride and groom following them as they made their way down towards the throwing of confetti (there should always be confetti at weddings)…

Charlotte and Andrew set off to the wedding venue Heaton House Farm in Cheshire in the Ferrari (what else) which made it tricky for me to keep up but managed to get there first as half way they changed back to the wedding horse and carriage to a make a traditional entrance. Now on arrival it was a little windy but I used this to my advantage and got some great shots of the wedding veil blowing out which really showed off the wedding dress another tip for wedding photographers rain, wind or snow can always be used to your advantage there are no excuses ….

As with all my wedding photography I like to capture the day as it happens and not disrupt, so with that in mind I pinched the wedding couple for only a short time to take images around the grounds with the aid of the very helpful wedding planner of Heaton House Farm who throughout the day made life much easier.

Photography of the bride and groom all done along with their requested group photos all that was left were the wedding speeches to photograph which always gives ample opportunities for capturing great expressions especially from the best mans speech …

All in all a great day with a great couple and hope to see the bishop at Gawsworth Church soon as well as pay another visit to the fabulous wedding venue Heaton House Farm …
