Relaxed Informal Wedding Photography

Relaxed Informal Wedding Photography

An important part of wedding photography, if not the most important part, is making the bride and groom feel comfortable. Not just on their wedding day but also on the run up before with the pre wedding meeting. I always make a point of meeting my clients several times before the big day. Therefore when the wedding day arrives they already feel comfortable with me.  Making them at ease which shows in my style of relaxed informal wedding photography.

The creative side of wedding photography is all important but everybody likes to see themselves laughing and smiling (naturally of course) after all it is the happiest day of your life.

As well as being able to get on with the bride and groom an unobtrusive style of wedding photography is essential. Allowing to get the all important natural images. Allowing the couple to enjoy their day whilst shooting in the background is the best way to achieve the style of wedding images I’m looking for. When I talk to my clients this is what the majority if not all, want.

Making the formal informal …

Now I know there are times when a few posed shots are called. For instance, the group images but they don’t have to look too staged. I achieve this by chatting away with the guests sharing a joke or two whilst still clicking away. Multitasking at its finest ..

With the majority of my wedding photographs being unposed I do make a point of stealing the bride and groom away. This is just for 10 minutes or so and again shot in a very informal way. The best compliment I get as a wedding photographer is that when my clients come to look at their wedding images they say they hardly noticed I was there. I can assure you I was 😉

My work is done …
