A Christmas Wedding
The Christmas Wedding of Richard and Shelley was my first on of the festive season and was to take place at their home in Plumley near Knutsford in Cheshire.
The Wedding Ceremony was at Plumley Church just down the road from the Bride and Groom to be house and was to take place at 5 so I arrived to start the wedding photography of the bride getting ready just before 4pm.
The preparations were well underway and the wedding marquee looked amazing with a relaxed feel which the bridal couple had requested. I set to work capturing the natural images of the bride getting ready with a few tears and a lot of laughs as you can see from the images which Shelley made very easy for me .

It was then on to the church and with the ceremony. With it starting at 5pm it was very dark. With a few tricks of the photography trade it all added to the atmosphere…
A short journey back to the couples home after the confetti shot at the church of course and one was ready for the arrival of the newly married bride and groom. I got the shot of the groom carrying the bride over the threshold, a first for me.
The wedding breakfast was a very relaxed affair with a constant stream of beautiful finger foods being circulated. Whilst this was going on I captured natural images as well as the group shots the bride had requested.
The all important and much anticipated wedding speeches were next. Its an overlooked part of the photography in my opinion. You get so many different emotions. Laughter, happiness and a few tears. This one had them all , happy tears by the way ;). The the first dance was next. This can really deliver some great images as you can see from the ones I captured of Shelley and Richards. Loved them.
The final shot was the cutting of the wedding cake. It was then time for me to go and prepare the images of their wedding day …
