“Rain rain go away come again another day”… How many brides do you think sing this song to themselves? When they see dark clouds on the morning of their wedding day. I’m guessing quite a few. And I’m confident you can include Wedding photographers in that group too ..
This song was very apt for the Cheshire Wedding of Charlotte and Jae. On that morning the standard shirt trousers and shoes could have been replaced with a wet suit, flippers and a snorkel. Ok slight exaggeration but you get the picture, it was raining ‘quite heavily’.
So armed with my cameras I started the wedding photography at the brides parents house in Cheshire. The bride to be,along with her bridesmaids were getting ready there. After some great natural and informal photography of the wedding preparations it was off to St Bartholomew’s church in Wilmslow Cheshire. Of course to photograph the wedding ceremony, and yes it was still raining. With the help of umbrellas and a happy bride and groom i actually think the rain added to the wedding photography. I was really pleased with the shots. So rain ‘bring it on’ you will not defeat us wedding photographers .. Just don’t go on all day again ok !
The Wedding Reception
The Wedding reception was at the the stunning wedding venue Mottram Hall in Cheshire. As always Mottram Hall wedding photography is a pleasure to do. Now as it was still the rainy season it called for quick thinking and a very helpful Mottram Hall wedding planner. You would not have guessed from the wedding photography that the weather was, shall we say not ideal. The corridors and interior of Mottram Hall Wedding Venue allow for rain emergencies and a few open doors showing the gardens helped to. The spacious staircase at Mottram Hall was a great setting for the wedding group s photography. Now again the weather did decide to play along So a quick dash out for the confetti shot as earlier at the church the rain had pit a stop to that. Credit also has to go the bride and groom who made it very easy and enjoyable to photograph their cheshire wedding , and remember.. If it does rain on your wedding day .. There is always a way .. And I’m a poet and I didn’t know it ..
