Wedding Photography of the bride Hannah started at her parents home in Cheshire and fortunately for me the church they were to be married at was a short walk away always a bonus for us wedding photographers.
Hannah and the bridesmaids were also getting ready at the house along with the rest of the wedding party which always makes for great informal wedding photography more commonly known as reportage wedding photography.
I really got some great shots of Hannah and all the emotions of the day especially that first glimpse of the dress from the father of the bride. I personally think getting ready shots are as important as any as it sets the scene for your wedding album, as my style of wedding photography is more of a story telling than a record and in this case the bride and the family certainly gave me many opportunities to tell theirs.
With the church just down the road it was off to photograph Lee the groom waiting ‘confidently’ for the bride to arrive. Hannah then arrived in the classic wedding car, ok it was just down the road but every bride deserves to arrive at the church in style. Then on to the wedding ceremony and I was very lucky to have an understanding vicar who let me take some great images as I feel it’s such a shame when you are not permitted , the natural images you get are as you can see from the gallery, priceless to the bride and groom and to me, the wedding photographer as well.
With the wedding ceremony all done and the all important confetti shot it was on to the fabulous Wedding venue Styal Lodge in Cheshire a relaxed and informal venue with a family run atmosphere perfect for Wedding photography.
I took the bride and groom away for a short while which involved being whisked away in a golf cart and quite a fast one at that. Luckily the wedding planner at Styal Lodge Wedding Venue could handle the corners. The lake on the grounds of Styal Lodge is a stunning scene for the wedding photographer and as you can see from the images I had more than a helping hand from the bride as she was not exactly camera shy and Lee played a part too of course, well done Lee.
Group shots next and as it was a little cold time was of the essence for the guests , I’m a great believer in not taking too much time with wedding group shots and making them more relaxed , having a bit of fun with them so they are more in keeping with the rest of the wedding images from the day. It also means of course that the wedding party can get on with enjoying their day which is the whole point really.
Photographing the wedding breakfast was next and the set up at Styal Lodge Wedding Venue Cheshire made it easy to catch all the great images that come from the wedding speeches. The ‘chill out room’ Styal Lodge have made for great wedding photography of the bride relaxing with the groom after the nerves had all settled from their wedding day.
Really enjoyed photographing the Wedding of Hannah and Lee and the staff at Styal Lodge were so helpful throughout the day, hope to be back there soon.
