As a Chester wedding photographer my photography takes me to many places around the UK and beyond. My latest was at one my favourite cities. The city in question being Chester the place I spent my childhood. I don’t like admitting this but it was a ‘little’ while ago 😉 …
The wedding was of Ed and Sally and there choice of wedding venue in the heart of Chester was the amazing Oddfellows boutique hotel. The whole wedding was to take place at the hotel. ED and Sally were getting ready there as well. The rooms were far enough apart to avoid the obvious disaster of the groom seeing the bride before the ceremony.
My morning was spent running back and to room from room. Making sure I got the all important shots of the wedding preparations. A normal routine in the day of a wedding photographer then. Not complaining , I love my job.
The wedding ceremony was to held in the hotel and the setting was stunning. I assumed my position just off to the left behind the registrar to capture the exchanging of the vows as well as the bride walking up the aisle . One of my favourite shots of the wedding day was Sally and Ed’s little boy walking his mum down the aisle, so cute ..
The celebrations commenced after the newlyweds tied the knot and not taking too much out of the day I photographed the groups. I don’t like to keep them away from the bar too long ;). It was then time to borrow Sally and Ed for a short time to get some relaxed shots of the two of them.
A break for the wedding breakfast and it was on to the all important speeches. Another favourite shot of the day is of the groom and his emotion during the speech. A great shot capturing everything the day meant to the two of them.
My last shot of the day was to photograph the first dance. It was then time for me to say my goodbyes and pack the cameras and head home .. A long day but a really enjoyable one and Ed and Sally made it that way and it’s shows in the images. It’s not all down to me, although I will take all the credit … 😉
